The Setup

I recommend starting with Starship. Starship is written in Rust, which means it’s fast.

curl -sS https://starship.rs/install.sh | sh

Then append this to your .bashrc or .zshrc:

eval "$(starship init zsh)"

Keep your .config strictly version-controlled. If your hard drive wipes tomorrow, you shouldn’t shed a tear.
